We finally had a day off from work
while our senior boss was out of town. This was an opportunity for all the girls
to talk more with each other. So, this conversation started with the topic of marriage
because many of them were trying to find a groom for themselves. Everyone
wanted to share their views on marriage and the problems they had related to
marriage issues. They were all at different ages; hence, there was a difference
in their opinions too. Some were too serious to get married as soon as
possible, and some were not in a rush.
This was a group of girls who wanted to get married but had not found the right
groom yet. One of them told that she has met with many people for marriage but
now she is tired and does not like anyone.
A friend of mine Swati,
was anxious about marriage; it was about how she would find the right
person for herself and how she would start conversing with him. She also looked
confused but wanted to get settled soon. As many girls were there, they had
also different opinions about their choices of person. And a girl named Varsha,
who already engaged to her boyfriend, seemed happy to tell everyone her own story.
I was the one among them who listened to the whole conversation and found
interesting to know their views on marriage. They had different problems and at
the same time, a desire to get married. They were so engaged in such a
conversation that they forgot themselves with whom they were talking to because
they had not talked as much as they were now. No One can say that they have met
for the first time and sharing their opinions about marriage.
I was just there to listen to them all, and suddenly a
girl named Rashmi before me bent her head and edged closer to me, asking, “Madam, what’s
your problem with marriage?”. It came on so quickly that I was unable to
control my laughter and broke out laughing. She seemed genuinely interested in
my issue, which shocked me.
