To me, life feels like a
playground; what comes to us, we have to play it well. We have to face what
life throws at us, whether joy, sorrow, or challenges. It’s a kind of game
where we cannot find an escape but to play it well. And sometimes, we carry a baggage
of completing an endless checklist of things we need to “complete”. Despite our efforts, we still find ourselves that we are not enough. Every
time life demands more from us, whether it be a perfect partner, employee, and friend, or just a better version of ourselves. In this race, we forget to
remind us —we are human.
Why can we not be real the
way we are? Why not we believe in us knowing that we are the only hero of our
own story? As we pat someone on the shoulders, why not we celebrate our own
wins? Maybe you are not the loudest, but you have fought battles in
silence and won. Maybe you are not climbing the great heights, but you are creating a
life you love.
Your
worth is not measured by others.
You do not need to ask for
your worth. Your worth cannot be proved by just being busy or perfect all the
time. You can take a rest, and just being with yourself is perfectly okay.
Be kind
to yourself.
When life is overwhelming,
we forget ourselves—we need kindness for ourselves. The way we are always
available for others, the same we deserve. Practice self-compassion. Give the
same patience and understanding to yourself as you offer someone else.
You are
enough. Period
Being enough is not about living up to some impossible standards. Or being enough; it is also not completing an endless to-do list. It’s about recognizing your own worth, that you are valuable, just as you are. You are enough with flaws, mistakes, & imperfections – they make you unique.
So, take a deep breath.
Do not put pressure on being perfect, and remind yourself: you are enough as you are; you always will be.
