Selfish or Self-love

Are you one of them who cares so much for others that you forget about yourself? Then you must understand that there is a thin line between being selfish and self-love.

Maybe many of us have been in a situation where we must have done a lot of things for others.  Some might say it is a good thing because they have thought about others before themselves, and they let go of their own happiness for someone else. But at the same time, it becomes important for us to draw a line so that we know when to stop.

And we draw this line once after being in this position. Isn’t it so?

Instead of caring about others, why don’t we spend our time with ourselves. Rather than focusing on others or doing something more for others, why not find time for our own well-being. We should not do such things where we feel bad later if we do something more for others.

I find many people who always complain about their lives. They find nothing to do, or they say that they are bored. They waste their time thinking that they do not have anything to do. You might find many people who admire others rather than concentrating on their own lives.

You know, life teaches us the best lessons, but if we do not learn, then we are wasting it.

Why not think about those things that you have always wanted to do? But you could not pursue them. Why not just start doing those things which you always wanted? Why don’t you start writing? Why not become a runner? Why not become a painter?

What are those things that are stopping you from pursuing them. Just think about it. Is it money? Time or what?

You know how important it is to grow as an individual. And if you are one of those who wants to grow as an individual, start spending time with yourself. We must understand that no one knows how much time they have. Rather than wasting it, we must focus on those things that may help us grow as individuals.

We must learn that being selfish is not a bad thing; spending time alone can lead to self-discovery. That’s what truly matters in the end.
