Yoga means to join
or to unite. Basically, we become one with ourselves. It is a union between the
mind and the body. To maintain a balance between the self and its surroundings,
that’s yoga. We can’t deny that yoga has been practiced since ancient times.
And it has great importance in our daily lives.
In such a busy life
full of responsibilities, long working hours, and busy schedules, we mostly
forget to be happy. And to maintain a balance between professional life and
personal life seems difficult, and that indirectly affects our health and
lives. It is important to spare some time for oneself when doing exercise,
yoga, etc., as it helps to unite our body, mind, and soul. Yoga is a way to
understand ourselves for our own well-being. It brings us closer and, along
with clarity, helps us understand the meaning of life and its existence.
Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness and increases our
body awareness. It helps us to lessen our stress, cultivate mindfulness, and
sharpen our concentration.
This is well said:
“Yoga is not about what one can get out of it; it is rather about what one can
give up and get rid of.” – PM Narendra Modi
