Embrace change gracefully and wisely

If we look around us, we can observe that everything is constantly changing.

In a real sense, if anyone wants to witness the change, he or she just needs to look at themselves. How they have evolved in their lives.

Think about your journey from childhood to adulthood. How did you appear? How did you evolve from a child to an adult? Did you ever try to look back a little?

Then everyone can see how changes have taken place in their lives.

There was a time when sacrifices and putting others before oneself were common in family life. Parents routinely sacrificed their dreams and wishes for their kids, while elder siblings delayed their ambitions to support their younger siblings.

Even a single small thing or eatable item was shared among everyone, whether a bar of chocolate or a packet of biscuits. There was a strong sense of unity in everything one did.

Today, a different world stands before us. Where our youngsters are more comfortable expressing themselves, whether it’s their needs or desires, they do not like holding anything back, and certainly not their wants.

Do you notice how many people feel alone these days? This sense of being alone is prevalent everywhere. Many people are lost in the virtual world, which might separate them from our community and make them care less about the people around them.

There are other values that are gradually diminishing from our consciousness: gentleness, etiquette, and manners. Not many people are patient enough to keep doing something and wait for the results to show the merit of their work.

I see change happening around us all the time. It’s not about complaining about a way of life that is fading, but also about understanding how these changes have influenced our mindset and our approach to life.

As we know, change is inevitable. It is the only constant thing in life. The more we restrain ourselves from change, the more difficult it becomes to confront it.

So, while undergoing change, it's important to grasp the kernel of the matter and decide to think about whether change is for the better or otherwise. We cannot lose our values and virtues on the altar of progress.

In simple words, we must go with the flow of change, but do so cautiously and gradually.
